Amentum is a reputed company based in Remote. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Project Management / Event / Program Management to join our team as Transportation Supervisor (shipping/retrograde).

Job Summary:
Amentum has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor in Kuwait.

Performs mission support analysis and duties pertaining to transportation shipping and preparation in functional areas and ensures supporting requirements and implied tasks are accomplished to standard and within required timelines for all external movement throughout Kuwait Area of Responsibility (AOR). Performs daily analysis for shipping and retrograde operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ability to lead and guide preparation and coordination of system functional descriptions, data output requirements, and user documentation needs associated with the application or adaptation of ADP equipment and automation security to the organizations transportation shipping and retrograde data systems supporting movement control, deployment, and material acquisition through retrograde and throughout shipping
2. Working knowledge of Joint Operating Procedures and Execution System (JOPES), Global Command & Control System (GCCS), Global Transportation Network (GTN), Transportation Coordinator's Automated Information for Movement System II (TC-AIMS II), Joint Force Requirements Generator II (JFRG II) and Deployment and Sustainment Support Tool (DS2T)
3. Applies technical knowledge and leadership guidance of deployment, traffic management, and retrograde principles and policies in application of practical traffic and transportation operational requirements
4. Provides technical advice and assistance in the execution of daily transportation requirements inclusive of incoming retrograde operations
5. Maintains transportation In-transit Visibility (ITV) for routine, high value and Sensitive Materiel transportation movements
6. Prepares Military Shipping Labels (MSL), RF/AIT (Radio Frequency / Automated Information Technology) and special areas such as HAZMAT (hazardous materials) documentation
7. Utilizes knowledge and expertise of the Army transportation system to manage transportation requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
  • US Citizenship is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines

Experience:
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of supervisory experience
  • Broad knowledge of transportation operations, practice, and policies as well as a thorough knowledge of transportation automated systems to satisfy user requirement in shipping and retrograde operations
  • Well based knowledge of shipping and retrograde processes and procedures

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Logistics STAMIS in use and must have the ability to properly monitor production and other applicable standards
  • Must be able to properly develop appropriate performance standards, track shipping and retrograde production, and ensure facilities operate in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must have relevant experience in order to analyze requirements and production capacity to respond to requests for proposals for option years and special missions
  • Must be well versed in Army operating methodologies and the use of appropriate logistic information systems
  • Familiar and knowledgeable of DoD 4500.9-R
  • General office administrative skills required
  • Must have in-depth knowledge in transportation retrograde and shipping
  • Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies
  • Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Power Point, Excel, Project and Outlook
  • Must have progressive written and oral communications skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively

Certification & License:
  • Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
  • Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIPR access to USG STAMIS required.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and ability to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator License
  • Kuwaiti Driver’s License preferred

Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
