Internship / Undergraduate

Yelp is a reputed company based in Remote. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Internship / Undergraduate to join our team as Summer 2022 Creative Intern.

Maybe you just hate the thought of wearing a suit and tie every day.

Or crunching numbers on a spreadsheet. Or sitting in a white cubicle. Maybe you only feel like your whole self when you’re making something. Or writing something. Or perhaps you just like to zag when everyone is zigging.

For whatever reason– you’re now here, dreaming of being a creative and reading this job description.

We get you.

And we might have just the opportunity for you.

Who we are:

We are Yelp Creative. A fearless and talented team of writers, designers, and project managers who make up Yelp’s internal creative agency.

Our sole purpose is to enable fandom—both inside and outside of Yelp.

What you’ll learn:

You’ll develop the foundational tenets of being a good creative. From strategy to production you’ll learn the ends and outs of creating purposeful, beautiful and effective work through practical experience. No coffee runs. No spec work.

We want you to leave this program with real work to add to your book, meaningful connections with some good people, and the mindset to live out our team values:

Be Good
Do The Hard Thing
Listen. Ask. Listen again.
Be Open
Bring Joy

What we’re looking for:

A writer or designer by means of practice, degree, profession, hobby or side hustle. To be clear we’re looking for anyone, in any stage of life (okay not infancy), who wants to break into the creative field and has some skills to bear.

No matter your walk of life you should be someone who is empathetic, curious and puts being a good human before being a good anything else.

To apply you’ll need to submit a portfolio site and/or creative work samples along with a resume and a cover letter describing how you embody one of our core team values.
