Architectus is a reputed company based in Sydney NSW. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Project Management / Event / Program Management to join our team as Student Planner.

Architectus is seeking a Bachelor or Masters Student to assist across a wide range of projects within our supportive Urban Design and Planning team.

About the Opportunity

As a Student Urban Planner, working 2 – 3 days per week in our Martin Place Studio in Sydney CBD, you will work closely with our architects and urban designers as well as external consultants on projects for a truly cross-disciplined and integrative work environment. Our planners are renowned for their built form understanding which brings another dimension to our work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking background research to inform project work
  • Undertaking assessment of a development proposal against the strategic and statutory planning framework under guidance
  • Assist in preparing technical advice and recommendations including development capability and due diligence assessments, master-planning and renewal sites, as well as relevant statutory approvals processes.
  • Assist in preparing letters, memos, reports, and submissions to relevant planning applications

About You

You will be a self-starter who enjoys working within a dynamic and collaborative planning and design environment. To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Enrolled in Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Urban Planning (or equivalent)
  • Have proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have flexibility to work 2 to 3 days per week
