IKEA is a reputed company based in Malmö. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Administration / Secretarial to join our team as Sommarjobb - Accounting Assistant.

We are now looking for an Accounting Resource to the accounting department in Älmhult for the period beginning of June to end of August. We offer a challenging and inspiring role where you will have the possibility to be a part of a great team working together to support the business in the best possible way.

Are you ready to grow with us during this summer? This is a temporary position, summer job during June 2022-until August 2022. We are flexible regarding starting- and ending dates.

The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden manage the accounting for several subsidiaries within Inter IKEA. As an Accounting resource you will be a part of the accounting team and work mainly in our processes for supplier invoices, ledger administration and monthly closures. You will also be part of the work that our accounting teams continuously do to improve our processes to gain efficiency and quality in our deliveries and support the business and stakeholders.

The focus areas and responsibilities are:

  • Daily accounting of the bank and sales
  • Process Supplier invoices according to global and local routines and according to the companies’ authorization matrix
  • Maintain/setup of master data in our financial systems.
  • Be part of the closure process, run reports, and do analysis and investigations of specific areas connected to the accounting processes.
  • Actively participate in the work to increase efficiency and quality and to improve the processes.

We believe that you have a good interest in accounting, tax and VAT area and have finished minimum 1 year of higher education in Sweden with the focus in economics and accounting and you have knowledge about Swedish accounting regulations.

To be successful in this role you need to:
  • Be accurate, analytical, and able to complete your tasks efficiently.
  • Have good knowledge in Microsoft Excel and experience from working with financial systems.
  • Be curious and open to new ways of working and strive to improve processes.
As a person you are positive, a good team player and have very good communication skills.
