What you'll do*

You will participate in the evolution of our platform and derived applications. More specifically, we are dealing with classes of problems where optimization / OR algorithms are helpful. For instance, we are looking at :

products within a vessel

• buyers/sellers within a commercial transaction
• refinery production capacity/throughput
• oil pipeline network capacity/throughput

Within a product team, you will :

• contribute to product development by closely collaborating with a product manager
• develop, test and operate applications that need advanced OR tools
• bring OR expertise to your team by implementing innovative and efficient solutions to complex problems
• work closely with other OR specialists, share solutions and best practices

Our stack includes, among others : AWS, Python, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub.

You may be a fit if...*

3+ years of software engineer experience

• Demonstrated experience with solving optimisation / OR problems in production context (Some experience with Google OR-Tools would be a plus)
• Proficient with Python and SQL
• Crafty, handy and pragmatic, you code on Linux / Mac and are both comfortable with CLI and graphical interfaces
• There is more than 30 different nationalities at Kpler, you must be able to interact with all team members in a functional English
