Reporting to a Product Development and Formatting Specialist, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing new products, as well as existing product improvements.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Design and conduct research with probiotic bacteria/enzyme ingredients in final formulations and formats with an emphasis on stability in a wide range of dietary supplement formats (tablets, capsules, sachets etc)
- Execute lab testing of products including bulk density, slug test, tablet friability, tablet hardness, etc.
- Microbiological enumeration of probiotic bacteria
- Monitoring, trending and reporting of stability data for prototype and pilot products
- Maintaining accurate records of laboratory work
- Interpret and present (oral and written form) results to wider Product Development team
- Lab support for projects as needed
To succeed you must hold:
- Batchelors Degree in Food Engineering/Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology or other relevant science degree
- 1-2 years minimum lab experience in formulation and solid oral dose formats preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis of data
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have appropriate organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good critical thinking
- Be results-oriented and able to effectively generate, analyse and interpret data to drive research direction and meet project goals
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
