Role: -

QA Engineer - Full Time W2

Responsibilities: -

• Test new or modified software programs and software development procedures
• Recommend improvements or corrections
• Perform hands-on, in-depth investigations and debugging at all levels of the stack using the same tools as developers and infrastructure engineers
• Document test results, analysis reports, logs and metrics
• Perform complex test engineering activities throughout the assigned software life cycle
• Work closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures
• Perform in-depth and detailed investigations into data quality issues
• Develop, implement, maintain and enhance test plans, test automation and test methodologies to ensure compliance with system specifications
• This role requires careful coordination with the development team to ensure all bug fixes are checked in, each environment is stable and ready for use, customer communication is ongoing and open, and releases are properly tested, documented, and validated
• The QA Engineer will also be responsible for delivering stable, tested code/configuration to production during release windows
• Delivery and Execution - Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software, with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide

Qualifications: -

• Experience: Minimum 5 years required
• 3+ years of industry software QA experience for a cloud-based product
• 2+ years of experience developing and debugging applications built with Javascript/Typescript, React, and Node
• Understanding of the latest web technologies, testing processes, tools, cloud deployments, protocols
• Ability to create test plans, define testing strategies, and identify high risk areas
• Comfortable with CLI environments like zsh and bash and their related tools
• Experience with testing tools like Cypress, Postman, and BrowserStack
• Experience with SQL databases and database administration tools
• Experience with VSCode, git, Github, JIRA, and other development tools
• Experience with remote collaboration and tools like Slack, Confluence, and Zoom
• Cryptocurrency/digital assets related working experience is a big plus
• Experience with AWS is also preferred
