Internship / Undergraduate

hachette is a reputed company based in London EC4Y. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Internship / Undergraduate to join our team as Orion Virtual Internship 2022.

What you’ll be doing

Join us for a panel event with Orion staff on Wednesday 16 March 2022 . We will discuss the different roles in publishing, how to find and apply for internships and share our own stories of how we got into the industry. We'll also share more information on the Orion internship and tips for applying.

Orion believes that publishing should be for everyone, at any stage of their career and in any role. This new internship scheme is aimed at anyone with a passion for storytelling and who is keen to learn and gain new skills, no matter their career so far.

This webinar is free and open to all. Please register your interest: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_RjeVlU60RFOxt8bbgJAfVw

Our internship will be an exciting opportunity for you to see how a major publishing house works, gain an invaluable insight into the publishing industry, and learn about the role that each department plays in every step of a book’s journey.

We are offering a monthly, paid and fully flexible/remote work experience placement for one candidate per month. During your time with us, you will be placed within a department and given the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the role, team and company, working on projects and gaining a thorough understanding of the publishing process. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience across different departments – attending a variety of company meetings, as well as the chance to ‘meet’ lots of different people across the company and senior team and receive informal mentoring or career guidance.

Who we are looking for

We are specifically targeting this scheme towards people who have spent time away from work for any number of reasons, or who are looking into changing their career and want to give publishing a try. We believe publishing should be for everyone, at any stage of their career and in any role.

To be eligible you must be over 18 at the point of placement and based in the UK. Please note this is the minimum requirement and we welcome people of all ages to apply.

No prior publishing experience is required.
