Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South is a reputed company based in Amsterdam. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Banking and Financial Services to join our team as Operations Manager.

Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South has 227 suites and rooms and opened in April 2021. We want to appeal to both transient and longer-staying travellers visiting the Dutch capital. Each of the studio’s, one-bed and two-bed apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen. All rooms are suites with more living and working space than you would find in an any other hotel room. It is up to us to make the guests feel at home with our family of associates!

In the role of operations manager, we are looking for an individual with confidence, strong work ethic, dedication, and hands-on mentality to get the job done, whilst helping our guests make the most of their stays.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Ability to creat unique guest experiences and maximize revenue
  • Broad business view, solid business acumen obtained from a strong understanding of hospitality
    • preffered Front Office experience
    • Preffered F&B Experience
  • Translates business needs into what need to get done; ensures that all work is completed effectively, solves problems, and monitors the progress of work against schedules, budgets; maintains high performance standards
  • Supports the on-property teams and drives actions through all resources
  • Self-motivaed with the ability to take constructive action without relying on direction from others
  • Ability to manage customer preference, loyalty, and engagement drivers and actions
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing, presentation)
  • Good problem-solving skills, encouraging new innovations where appropriate
  • Strong associate relations and customer relations skills
  • Preferably worked for an extended stay hotel before


  • Hotel industry experience is essential for the role
  • Experience with hotel software such as Opera (PMS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality is a plus - but not necessary
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • Organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving, and demanding environment
  • Fluency in English; Dutch not mandatory

  • Be understanding about other functions such as finance, sales and marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining presence and communicating effectively at all levels within the hotel, Radisson Hotel group and Cycas Hospitality and other key stakeholders
  • Be able to foster collaboration with all stakeholders and has experience to influence others inside and outside of the organisation in a planned, well-informed way to ensure quality results.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritise and implement actions required to completion and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple and concurrent demands
  • Ability to collaborate with others and act in an objective manner to stay on track to achieve goals
  • Be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and can establish a process for activities that lead to the implementation of the agreed operations strategy, systems, procedures, or outcomes
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behaviour and absolute discretion with people and sensitive information
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate the results clearly, through monthly performance reports and other relevant sources like Radisson guest review systems, TripAdvisor etc
  • Comfortable with accountability and makes considered business decisions willingly and in an analytical and strategic manner
  • Assist guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner with registration and check out, ensuring that any special requirements are noted and passed to the appropriate department
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately taking on the authority to resolve any concerns and requests raised
  • Manage the operation of the hotel switchboard to the Company standard, ensuring that all messages are correctly handled
  • Manager duty management
  • Embrace the “Yes I can” spirit
  • Be aware of and operate the hotel cash handling, security, and emergency procedures. Ensure banking of monies is completed accurately by all members of the crew.
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of your Cycadettes; plan, organise and assign work, develop, and communicate strategies and goals. Advise staff of formal Radisson policies and procedure
  • Train, inspire, motivate, and manage the crew to ensure they meet their key objective of creating and maintaining great service with existing and new guests and achieving revenue goals and maximising profits for the hotel while maintaining Fun Hunter satisfaction
  • Support and lead all members of the team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene, and Health & Safety.
