Responsibilities include:
Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
Report any current or potential hazards to your manager immediately.
Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) at all times. Consult the appropriate SOP where required.
Play an active role in the Food Safety Management Team with an insight into the HACCP Programme
Responsibility for reviewing all SOP’s for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure he/she fully understands and adheres to the SOP.
Lead strategic quality initiatives in the areas Compliance and other specific areas.
Key role in assisting audit readiness in Manufacturing
Participate as an auditor within the plant in internal audit schedule, plant walk-downs and external audits.
Play a key role in ensuring the plant is audit ready for CRQS, Division and regulatory audits.
Communicating with the Third Party Warehouse on a regular basis, organising samples to be brought back to AN Cootehill for testing
Major Responsibilities
Completing CAPA Actions that have been created from quality events on the Abtraq system.
Reviewing and updating SOP’s, plant forms, logbooks. Raising change requests on M-Files system.
Managing statistical sampling for quality events to release product for MSP Release, this will consist of organizing samples to be called back from the third party warehouse and managing personnel to complete the sampling
Manage Quality Inspections that the Third Party Warehouse are completing on behalf of Abbott
Closing out actions generated from internal and external audits, completing 6M’s to identify the root cause for the actions identified.
Accountability / Scope
This function will have responsibility to ensure that Compliance is managed effectively and will provide leadership in the areas of Manufacturing Packing Compliance, Strategic Compliance initiatives, cGMP and Food Safety.
What are we looking for?
To apply for an Internship position, the following criteria need to be applicable:
Available to commence a 6, 9 or 12 month placement from June 2022
Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate in Environmental Health and Safety.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2.1 Grade in their degree course
Good communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Flexibility to be based at one of our Abbott sites around Ireland
