Manufacturing Labourer job from W.R Davis Engineering Limited in Ottawa, ON, Canada

W.R. Davis Engineering Limited (Davis) is a dynamic mid-sized company specializing in the design of infrared (IR) signature solutions for both naval and aerospace platforms. Davis performs ground-up design, development and manufacturing at our Ottawa, Canada facility. More background may be found at www.davis-eng.com.

Daily Tasks include:

• Assist with metal forming rollers
• Assist with fitting of metal pieces
• Assist welders as required
• Maintain cleanliness of shop
• Hand tools power tools asset
• Assist with passivation of completed metal fixtures
• Trained as fork lift driver (an asset)
• Obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance (through Davis)
• Other related duties as required

Knowledge & Requirements:

• Familiar with metal working hand tools, grinding, sanding, and drilling
• Must have physical strength
• Hand-eye coordination and endurance
• Laborers must be able to concentrate on their tasks
• Work as a member of a team
• The ability to understand and communicate information
• Strong desire to learn new skills
• Work within company Health & Safety requirements
