About this opportunity
Your work environment :
We now have an opportunity for a strong, highly motivated individual to join us as a Management Accountant on a 9 months fixed term contract (maternity leave cover) based in our plant in Custines (close to Nancy, France) which produces beverage aluminium cans (circa 200 persons; €140 million turnover, operating 7/7, 24h/24h on a continuous shift system). The role reports to the Finance Manager, France, Benelux and Germany.

Your mission in Crown:
In this role, you monitor, together with the Finance Manager, the financial key performance indicators of the plant, according to the Group accounting rules, USGAAP and local statutory requirements;
You prepare and analyze budget and rolling forecasts, and ensure reporting is delivered on time in full. You monitor manufacturing costs and analyze variance against standard manufacturing costs. You support the other plant's departments in analyzing their cost performance. You control, alert and implement corrective actions in case of identified financial issues. You participate actively in the continuous improvement programme to achieve World Class Performance in the finance area.
About you
You have a degree in Business Finance Control/Accounting with minimum 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You possess a strong knowledge and understanding of costs and variances of manufacturing accounting. Well organized, good planning, methodological and attention to details skills are key competencies. You have open minded and good communication skills. You are able to work in a high-pressure environment to tight timescales. You have an advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and VBA), with a sound experience in JDE or SAP (or another ERP). You are fluent in English.
