Logistics Coordinator job from Khalifa Steel Industries in Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator who will assist the Logistic Manager to manage and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company while ensuring the timely availability of materials for production and delivery of final products to the customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and ensure smooth movement of materials between suppliers, production and clients

Effective communication with suppliers, customers, production etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction

Effective response and timely arrangement of urgent material requirements for production

Review shipping documents and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy to ease tracking and fix errors

Making special transport arrangements as necessary

Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements

Maximize the use of company fleet for all shipment requirements and if required a proper and timely coordination with transportation providers to ensure prompt and effective movement of shipments

Assisting in managing distribution and shipment budgets

Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards

Propose the developments of processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures

Prepare accurate reports for the Management to review and identify the improvements

Requirements and skills

Proven experience of 3 to 5 years as logistics coordinator

Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

Computer-savvy

Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Course in supply chain management or relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From QAR4,000.00 per month
