Macquarie Group Limited is a reputed company based in London. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Building & Construction to join our team as Lead Engineer.

Interested in investment management and how technology can help enable it? Then this is the role for you! We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to help lead a team and modernize the technology landscape of our investment team in Luxembourg. The functions included in this landscape include client reporting, portfolio management and compliance.

The role will require you to immerse yourself in existing systems and reporting platforms, most of which have been developed internally over many years. You will have to understand the data being fed into their systems, the transformations and calculations occurring within their systems and the outputs of their systems. You will also be the primary point of contact to to the business head and local regulators on all matters related to technology.

An in-depth understanding of DevOps development practices, familiarity with modern software development and design concepts across multiple languages, as well as a passion for technology innovation will allow you to harness emerging technology trends to deliver solutions to our business in an efficient and agile manner.

Other relevant technical skills include:

  • Strong proficiency with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, etc.
  • Proficient with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as AngularJS, React or Vue
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with Python
  • Experience in developing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
  • Experience in cloud-based development.
