Monitoring and assessing academic progress Working with students, specialist, parents, and administrators to develop individual education plans Structuring a classroom conducive to learning. Making knowledge accessible to all students Fostering students self-esteem, motivation, and respect for learning Following professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students; records, parents, and colleagues. Identifying pupil needs and working with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students resolve health, attitude and learning problems.

Performs assigned duties Manage the learning environmentMajor Duties: Instructional Skills: Organizes teaching strategies to maximize allocated instructional time to increase student learning Prepares and implants lessons plans Maintains an effective physical setting for instruction. Assigns developmentally appropriate task for students Designs, delivers and assesses student learning activities addressing the state GLEs. Integrates a variety of technology applications and learning tools to augment student achievement. Uses student participation in establishing classroom standards for behaviors.

Maintains good discipline while providing an atmosphere that encourages students to work effectively and to use good work habits.
