Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District is a reputed company based in Milton NSW. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Environment/ Health & Safety to join our team as Islhd - Cancer Care Clinical Trials – Grade 2 Pharmacist.

This is a temporary Part time 16hpw position for 12 months with the possibility of an extension subject to funding

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

What you'll be doing

The Clinical Trials Pharmacist provides pharmacist support to ensure safe and effective operation of cancer care clinical drug trials to patients of Wollongong Hospital and affiliated sites.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions on practice.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment and ongoing commitment to the professional development relevant to areas of practice.
  • Highly developed understanding of the priorities and requirements of hospital pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking tasks.
  • Knowledge of the requirements and regulations surrounding clinical trials and alternate access programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and also ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills.
