What you'll be doing

Provide an efficient and effective cleaning service to the Milton Ulladulla Hospital, in accordance with ISLHD policies, procedures and standards, in order to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for patients/clients, visitors and staff. The position predominantly involves cleaning duties in specified areas however will also provide emergency response and support to the hospital as required. The function of the Health and Security Assistant is to ensure a clean, safe environment, as well as performing patient transfers and assisting the clinical staff in patient care within the limits of skills and knowledge base.

A psychometric test is required as a mandatory component of the selection process. All candidates determined as suitable following the interview and referee process will be required to undertake the psychometric testing. Master Licence No.: ISLHD 410751026.

All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.

  • Current Class 1A security industry licence, Senior First Aid Certificate and Class C drivers’ licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning practices and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand essential documentation including safe work practices and infection control procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key people both within and outside your work team.
