Job Description
Cusack Hotel Group is made up of Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort and Castle Arch Hotel in Trim and Ardboyne Hotel and Newgrange Hotel in Navan.
The hotel group now requires a Group Financial Controller to be responsible for the company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities, and will play an active role in driving the businesses forward. This role reports directly to the Directors and General Manager of Knightsbrook Hotel and Group General Manager of Ardboyne, Castle Arch & Newgrange Hotel.
A quick overview of key responsibilities includes:
- Deliver timely and accurate reports detailing property performance for stakeholders
- Cash Flow management
- Act as Group external audit liaison on behalf of properties
- Analyse financial performance against agreed KPI’s, highlighting exceptions and any areas of concern with recommended solutions
- Plan and implement procedures and systems
- Budget preparation and delivery
- Undertake strategic analysis and feasibility studies of business opportunities as they arise
- Managing an accounting team of 6 including training and development
- Daily routine tasks and communication with group properties as required
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA/ ACA/ CPA) with at least three years’ experience as Financial Controller/Director of Finance, preferably at group/cluster level, within the hospitality industry.
Will be a successful Team Leader able to adapt style to meet the needs of colleagues, collaborators and customers with a proven track record of delivering high performance and excellent financial analysis. Further key attributes include:

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills
- High level of discretion in dealing with critical business information
- Mastery of all relevant IT systems
- Project management skills
