Help and support, especially at scale, is a complex and exciting problem space. Canva’s User Voice Help and Community team’s mission is to simplify getting help and inspiration simple for everyone and every design. Their purpose is to make asking for help, ideas, and inspiration with people using Canva around the world.

This role will ensure that all parts of uservoice’s global network are built in a scalable manner and run as optimally and efficiently as possible.

We are a small but mighty team of 30 across Australia and the Philippines, but we are growing! The Group is responsible for Content, Specialist Competency Development, Workforce Management, Specialist Quality Program, Vendor Management, and Specialist Tools and Processes.

You will be in the detail and know User Voice's goals, how they relate to Canva's strategy and then ensure that the group has the right skills, organisational design, resources, roadmap, and operational capabilities to deliver.

This group will work most closely with the User Voice lead and other User Voice groups - in particular Specialist operations within Canva and with outsourced BPO providers.

What you’ll do:

  • Group organisational design: Continuously evolve group design to meet evolving needs
  • Define global roadmap: Ensure a clear roadmap each season that builds towards high-aspiration long-term goals
  • Deliver roadmap: Ensure delivery of the roadmap, course correcting where necessary
  • Deliver operations: Run and continuously improve operations
  • Team culture: Define and embody a Canva culture for the group
  • Communicate: Ensure everyone in the group, in User Voice and across Canva is aware of your group, how to collaborate, and achievements

What we are looking for:

  • A deep love, and significant experience, of solving User issues at scale.
  • You thrive in fast-changing environments, seeing opportunity everywhere and keeping a focus on delivery.
  • Direct experience in many of the areas of responsibility and capabilities.
  • You can use the numbers to prioritise and tell a story, and you’re also connected with the individual stories or each user.
  • You know how to get buy-in from key stakeholders. You’ve got a track record of bringing people on the journey with you – they know what’s changing and why.
  • You know how to work independently, but you also love collaborating with people from different disciplines and countries and sharing a vision for User Experience.
  • You’ve got a good balance between big-picture thinking and nailing the details.
  • You’re not afraid of complex problems – in fact, that’s where you thrive.
  • You know how to prioritize ruthlessly and handle responsibilities for a wide number of projects – focusing your attention on the areas that matter most.
  • You like to move quickly, and aren’t afraid of fast growth and rapid change. Canva is growing faster than you can imagine – which means solutions that worked 6 months ago might break. You’re up for that challenge.
