weir & Sons is a reputed company based in Dublin, County Dublin. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Accounting / Auditing to join our team as Financial Controller.
Qualifications And Experience
· Qualified accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA
· Good knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS and payroll calculation
· Experience in group reporting for statutory purposes according to relevant deadlines
· Experience with SAP Business One ERP tool is an advantage
· Proficient in MS Office applications
· Able to multi-task
· Ability to communicate actionable data insights to non-financial members of the business
· Eager to learn new technologies and ideas. Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced issues.
· Approaches work proactively and has the ability to work independently – is flexible to the changing needs of a business
· Enjoys working in a commercial, diverse and fast paced environment
· 2-3 years post qualification experience.
Major tasks and duties:
· Preparing financial statements and other reports according to local legislation and IFRS
· Conducting accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial operations
· Prepare audit pack and review statutory accounts for year-end external audit. Liaising with the auditors on audit issues as they arise
· Maintain all aspects of intercompany accounting and monthly reconciliations
· Posting business events in the SAP Business One tool
· Ensuring the correctness and accuracy of data posted in the ERP system
· Checking invoices and supporting documentation
· Preparing quarterly management accounts for multiple companies including parent company and subsidiaries
· Preparing various reports and analysis for the management of the company
· Preparing budgets and forecasts and cash flow projections
· Implementing and creating the documentation around the financial controls within the business.
· Track costs versus capital budgets including a purchase order system
· Providing treasury operations (cash and bank operations), posting bank statements
· Keep the fixed asset register and reconcile monthly
· Participation in the implementation of new accounting software and documentation system.
· Identify opportunities for improvement of processes to reduce costs
· Assist in the set-up, establishment and on-going optimization of subsidiary companies /new legal entities, including transfer of assets from parent company and tax registration
· Ad hoc projects in areas such as corporate finance, asset sales and finance strategy.
