Environment Agency is a reputed company based in Beverley. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Internship / Undergraduate to join our team as Environment Internships (summer 2022).
If you’re looking to further develop your skills, we have exciting opportunities for you to do just that. Our Academic Internships run for between 6-12 weeks starting on either 27 June or 4 July 2022. We’re offering you the opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst complementing your studies and developing both personally and professionally. Our internship programme gives you a comprehensive introduction to everything the Environment Agency does, with the opportunity to spend time with a range of teams or specialise in a particular department.
There are opportunities in the following teams: Partnerships & Strategic Overview (Flood Risk), Asset Performance, Hydrology, Analysis & Reporting, Fisheries Biodiversity & Geomorphology, Environmental Crime, Waste Regulation and many more.
During your Environmental Science placement with us you will gain experience in areas such as:
- Project management
- Data management and analysis
- Regulating the environment (permitting, waste etc)
- Environmental incident management
- Insight into multiple areas of the business
- Flood & Coastal Risk Management / Operations
- Water, Land & Biodiversity
- Regulated Industry
- Environment, Planning & Engagement
You’ll be comfortable learning from others, but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions. There will be the opportunity to work with leaders across the area including the Area Leadership Team.

As the internship is short-term it is likely to be office based / on site rather than remote working from home but this will be discussed in more detail at interview.
