The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories.
Working within the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation’s Database and Analytics Team, the Database Officer position plays a key role in supporting the day to day processing and administration of the fundraising database - Raiser's Edge (RE)
The Database Officer will be involved in the proactive and reactive maintenance of data integrity, privacy compliance, financial reconciliation, database maintenance and working with data from primary and secondary data sources
The role will include improving processes and servicing the RE reporting needs of the Foundation team in line with Foundation’s operational objectives, business rules and KPIs
This role is part of a high performing and well-respected fundraising team who play a critical role in raising funds for cancer research.
This opportunity will suit an enthusiastic team-player with proven experience as a database professional. An understanding of the importance of best practise donor care, a ‘can-do’ attitude and the value of clear and timely communications is essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with Blackbaud Raisers Edge 7 and NXT database or similar CRM software
Self-motivated and thorough with an eye for detail
Understanding of the principles of good governance in relation to data integrity
Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage a multi-task workload in a fast-paced environment
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Competent in producing consistent and regular recording and reporting of activity to specified criteria
