Queensland Government is a reputed company based in Brisbane QLD. We are looking for talented professional from the field of Environment/ Health & Safety to join our team as Assistant Director - Pharmacist.

The role Reporting to the Director, Medication Services Queensland, you will support the improvement of delivery of pharmaceutical services by providing leadership and strategic management of projects and programs. You will provide authoritative advice to a wide range of stakeholders relating to pharmaceuticals and pharmacy practice and ensure existing state-wide pharmacy guidelines, and development of new guidelines, reflect current best practice. Additionally you will actively seek best outcomes for Queensland Health and Medication Services Queensland and manage the work and development of staff within the branch.

The successful personYou will have:
  • Proven ability to provide advice applicable to multiple facilities at a statewide level on key medicines policies and programs
  • High level clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in pharmaceuticals and pharmacy practice
  • Advanced problem-solving skills using independent judgement and change management processes and ability to apply high level judgement to synthesise information to provide written authoritative and verbal advice on complex issues to stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead a team to develop, promote, implement and evaluate solutions to large scale, complex service delivery issues
